Hidden in this square of letters are the names of 17 women who feature in Shakespeare’s plays. When you have crossed them out – and as usual with this type of puzzle they are all in a straight line but may go in any direction – you will be left with 11 unused letters which, read from top to bottom, will give you the name of perhaps the most memorable of all his female characters.
